Saturday

Saturday morning was Lit Symposium at SGCS. Left home with my brother's wallet which did not contain my Homecoming Day coupons.Obviously I was frantic after that.

Even before the sessions began I was put in a foul mood. Joe En was very pissed with me for no apparent reason when I asked if he knew his way here. Turned out he told me he kena pang seh by Joshua Han. Hence he was late and still needed me to guide his taxi in. So much for kindness...

Fortunately the Unseen prose and poetry sessions were quite fruitful. But the Joy Luck Club session was... not so beneficial to me.

The speaker for that session was absent because she left for Vietnam the same morning. In the end we only had a video-ed session of the talk on JLC.That was where Martin, Joshua Ling and I decided to answer to Pat Chan's questions of raising our hands when she asked if we have read certain stories even though it was just a video.
The St Margaret's students behind us just laughed.

I noticed that SCGS English standards are SO much higher than CHS. Their Lit standard really makes my lit essays look like crap. To quote Mrs Amanda Yap: "Our A1 standard is just their B3 standard."

Now now I have NEVER seen an A2 in my Lit, let alone an A1. So if I go for the O levels perhaps a B4 is AN OVERACHIEVEMENT.

During the break the students had a bread and Milo. The box for used cartons of milo became a mountain in 15 minutes. The worst part was that it was placed at the Catholic High School bench.

Martin, "Wah lao those SJI students throw all the milo cartons in our box then everyone think we caused the mess lah..."

No fret Martin!! Together with Nicholas Wong and another CHS gentleman we shall clean up the mess we have helped to create!! OK we took the box or rather mountain and dump it into the dustbin!!

Our host(esse)s were laughing at us when we were cleaning the mess which they should have cleaned up. I couldnt help but say aloud, "Aiya your own school leh why we must clean up the place?"

Then again when I look at myself in CHS, I dont remember picking up litter on the floor or keeping the class clean even though I am the environmental rep in class.

Bah so that ends up the Lit symposium.

After the Lit symposium I went back home for lunch and took back everything. Then went to school for Dota.

I knew that DotA was going to be a rip off session. True enough we needed to pay $4 for 1 hr. The first games were very fun because I was facing off with a primary school kid who dared not deny creep when I was close. Best part was that I was using Axe and he was using Faceless Void. Drew first blood in 2 battle hungers. Owned the entire match since all heroes had low life.

After that I got completely wiped out in 2 games with AL, Glen and Co. Their standards are completely too high for me. Never mind though, the O Levels are coming so I guess I need to get priorities right from now.

OK so after homecoming we went back and I developed ulcers after eating cheese sausages. GREAT. After that I slept on the sofa like a pig till 3 AM.

By the way did Mr Lee get dunked?

still underachieving
