But think about it. He escaped when he went on a toilet break when he was waiting for his family to visit.
Which leaves us with a few scenarios on how he escaped. Some possible, others idiotic. But one thing is certain.
I'm not hiding him. Seriously.
Scenario 1: Inside job. I don't know. Perhaps someone inside ISD colluded with him?
Scenario 2: The windows. We know that the army man who escaped with a SAR 21 climbed through the windows which had no grilles and out to town. Could he have done the same?
Scenario 3: Vanished in the toilet. Now maybe he drowned in his own shit.
Whatever scenario we have, a few things are certain.
- We'll lose confidence in the system here, whether it's in your Home Affairs Ministry or Singapore Police Force or the ISD. How long this will last remains unknown.
- We'll be more wary of our surroundings. We'll perhaps consider calling the cops if we see someone walking with a limp...
- Someone in the Police Force will get the sack.
